This publication has an unacceptable amount of grammatical errors. I would actually suggest that this book was not edited at all. With so few pages it really shouldn't take much effort to spot egregious errors in code examples.
Many of the visual aids are impossible to read without a magnifying glass because they are so reduced in scale.

This book does a decent job going over how scripting/APIs can be used for programming network gear. It feels like 90% of the book focuses on data center gear (NXOS/ACI). I would describe this as an intro book, but to be able to understand the content It helps to have some basic scripting/python background.
